The New England Patriots used the 6th overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft to select University of Georgia Defensive Lineman Richard Seymour. Seymour had a solid rookie season starting in 10 games and contributing to the Patriots first Super Bowl title.

Seymour made his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2002 and his second in 2003 when the Patriots won their second Super Bowl in three years.
